Great Excerpt from BBC News Magazine on Eminem & Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie"
"Eminem's a guy lost in the labyrinths of his own psyche and he still appears a misogynist through and through. The "Love the Way You LIe" ballad, despite some somewhat confused feminist backlash, however, stands not as a bash piece against women. It stands instead as a dark, introspective rant on a relationship gone sour- where both parties resort to brutality in their moments of fury. Em's percussive punchs are not targeted against womankind, but against the frustration he feels with a very real situation for which he can express surrounding feelings with enormous clarity."
