A Word On Travel Magazine's "America's Favorite Cities 2010"

Some notable points New York City Got (See the Page Here)
Gotta be proud we are the #1 City for style, theater, performance art, big name restaurants, home decor and design stores, ethnic foods, luxury stores and of course diversity. We are worthy of all that, times 10. No place in the country has as many ridiculously overpriced luxury stores, so many delicious unbeatable legendary impossible-to-book restaurants of every kind. And theater- duh, we got broadway, the Metropolitan Opera, the NYC Ballet, Alvin Ally, New Victory Theater and the Big Apple Circus. :)
We are ranked #2 for museums after D.C...c'mon now- the MET, the Natural History Museum, the MoMa, the Brooklyn Museum the Whitney, the Guggenheim, the Jewish Museum, the Museum Art of Design, the Queens Science Museum, the sex museum and so much more!- that totally beat's D.C- if you look at a list of what they got, there is a better museum in NYC that does the same shit. We are also number 2 for Skyline after Chicago. I won't argue with that. Ours goes on longer but theirs looks nicer and the buildings are taller.
In the top 5 for wild weekend, public transit, people-watching, bar scene, concerts, cocktails, coffee bars, boutique hotels, joints and cafes. We should be number 1 for people-watching because the windows, size of crowds and diversity of people. We should be number 1 for public transit because for as many people as NY has, our transit gets people, by the millions, where they need to go relatively well, especially during rush hour. Our bars might not be as good as New Orleans but our concerts are dope. It's a culture there!
In the top 10 for visiting in the winter, for stylish boutique hotels, for hamburgers, for vintage shops and flea markets, for cultural getaway.
We have the least affordable hotels- holla to that one. We are overpriced, no joke obviously- last in affordability overall.
Top 5 Situations America Got it Wrong in:
5. We are last in BBQ...which is stupid. We have all the BBQ shit every other state has, we just didn't start it. And you can BBQ on roofs and all over Queens and Brooklyn so people need to not.
4. We are ranked last in relaxing retreat. Not that anyone judges us as a retreat, but we got so many relaxing things to do- Central Park strolls around the ponds, the cloisters, chill exibits and museums...etc...
3. We are number 2 for Piazza- after Chicago. Any sane friend of mine acknowledges that bullshit.
2. We are last in Environmental friendliness. Um, we are the greenest big city in the world, hardly drive and the average NYer produces 17% of the carbon footprint of the Average american.
1. We are number 2 for Noteworthy neighborhoods after Charleston. I don't know much about Charleston- but that's kinda the point. New York has so many neighborhoods it is famous for worldwide- the Village, Harlem, the lower east side, tons of spots in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx, not to mention the US Open, Madison Square Garden, Citi Field and Yankee Stadium.
And SoHo or Madison Ave. practically make NY the shopping capitals of the world after Paris. Such an utter, laughably offensive crap attack.
Last Word:
Also, we are not high on the safety list only because people are scared of our fierce rush- but we are the safest big city in the US outside of Virginia. I won't argue against the fact that we are less friendly than most of the rest of the country, but I'm glad its been ruled that LA is ruder. If attitude was a category, we'd be number 1.
