8 Spruce Street beats new World Trade Center towers to the punch, adding fantastic spunk to Lower Manhattan's rising skyline

8 Spruce Street is the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere, and thus, for now, the tallest in New York City (although I believe it will be passed by One57).

While situated close by, it will be easily dwarfed by the new World Trade Center (which will be the second tallest building in the world when it is completed in the next couple months), it does not fail to put one into a state of awe.

In the whole city, it is the most expensive residential building to live in- even more than the Ansonia or the Flatiron.

Nightfall- northern half of Lower Manhattan's rising skyline.

The tower is relatively isolated, providing it more attention as the ultra-tall skyscraper closest to the Brooklyn Bridge.

A variety of views of the building.

Notice it's isolation...and magnificence.

One World Trade Center rising far behind it, with the Brooklyn Bridge in the forefront.
